Making homes healthy
Solid Floor Insulation
We rebuild and restore solid floors. This may be necessary if your period property has rising damp or the floor becomes damp or wet, particularly when it rains.
If you have carpet, it is likely that there is asphalt flooring underneath. This is extremely damaging to period properties and often the cause of rising damp and cold, hard-to-heat homes.
We recommend having the asphalt removed before any decision on the rebuild of the floor is made.
Remedial
Other work that may need to be carried out, along with your floor, could be the repointing of external masonary or replastering of internal walls, particularly in the lower sections.
We only use ‘breathable’ materials ensuring your property is allowed to dry out, which ensures it functions as a thermal mass, allowing your home to heat up more efficiently.

Why Love Lime?
Lime is the original material your home will have been built with. This means it works with the building while being a more environmentally friendly material than modern materials, like cement, as it actually absorbs Carbon Dioxide in the drying process.
